The following devices do not have drivers in the Symantec Recovery Disk. Is this telling me then that I cannot use ghost? Given my backup storage is on a NAS drive, and the issue noted with the SATA controller, it would seem I cannot use it (if I cannot recover, there is not a lot of point in using Ghost. I decide to run the option on the CD that checks drivers. Would be nice to know for sure though.I just had reason to replace my motherboard, and a drive, and went to reinstall Ghost (15.0). Thank you for your response, I did try your suggestion and it reports "Device Software - No Action Needed" so maybe I just should ignore the Event log. It usually means that some or all facilities are not available, so the device is operating in some sort of degraded mode. My video card also has this "requires further installation" comment as do the network adaptor and the MS web-cam and microphone.

I am not comfortable if there are unresolved issues with drivers as they can cause subtle problems that are hard to resolve. photocopy) no longer works, not a biggie, but a little irritating. My Canon scanner has such a note in it's Device Properties > Events and it can no longer "see" the networked printer, thus Scan > Print (ie. something still needs to be done to clear this condition. It is not clear if the message is just a log note that is no longer relevant or is a log note of a current condition.

The message is in the device properties under the Events tab.
